It may be a place crammed with tourists , bargain hunters and camera burden visitors but still Portobello Road is the place I choose to rediscover whenever I return back to London. On a sunny Friday morning I rolled some pounds in my pocket and walked the initial stroll from my home past the pastel-fronted terraces. I sipped the first tea of the day overlooking the road, gazing the antique dealers preparing their stalls and the early fashionistas arriving for the fresh, prized vintage treasures. Its was in the world’s largest antique and vintage market where I found my own “gems”, a leather bound Oscar Wilde, an amazing boho ring and the most precious of all, pictures, snapshots and memories!
