easy & cheesy pies

A shiny December morning we visited an adorable house in the city center to taste these famous easy and cheesy comfort pies with a glass of wine.We were standing impatient in front of the oven to see them golden!They are so easy to make and really delicious!

      Easy and Cheesy Comfort Pies:

  • 1 glass of water milk
  • 1 glass of water all purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • extra-virgin olive oil
  • 250 g feta cheese,chopped
  • one handful olives,sliced without pimentos
  • salt,pepper
  • clay pans for cooking

the steps:

1.In a large bowl,whisk the eggs,the flour and the milk.Stir in the feta cheese,2-3 tablespoons of the olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

2.To make two types of pies,keep the half mixture with the feta and in another bowl pour the other half  of the mixture and add your olives.

3.Cover the clay pans with olive oil and put them in the oven at 20o°C .

4.After the oil is well heated up,remove the pans from the oven and pour into the two different mixtures while the pans and the olive are still hot. This is the tip that makes your pies crispy from outside and also keeps them from sticking  to the pan.

5.Now put your clay pans with the mixture back into the oven,and bake for 30-40 minutes at 20o°until golden.

6.When they are ready,let them cool for 2-3 minutes before tasting.Use a spoon to remove them from the pan and serve.
